Orange Shirt Day – September 29th
Students and staff are encouraged to wear Orange Shirts on Tuesday, September 29th to honor students who never returned home as well as survivors, families and communities of those who attended residential schools.

Photo Retake Reminder – October 9
Photo Retakes will be taking place on October 9th. Please note that ID cards will not be printed on this day and students who do not have a card can come to the office in the week following to pick on up.
Athletics Update
Our volleyball programs have been seeing a lot of the court action lately, with our Senior Boys and Girls volleyball programs in Lethbridge at their away tournament last weekend. In regular season games, this week our Boys’ teams won against St. Mary's, and our Girls’ teams had close games against Bowness.
Cross country saw our 4km 3-person Relay Meet, the Bowmont Blast happen on Wednesday at Bowmont Park. Congratulations to all our teams that went out and had a great time!
Girls’ Soccer had a great game on Monday despite the heat, ending with a 5-5 tie vs Lester B. Pearson. Wednesday's home game against Forest Lawn ended in a Win for our comets 2-0!
Next week we see Girls’ Soccer at home vs Bishop McNally on Monday, Girls’ Volleyball away @ Bishop Carroll on Tuesday, Boys’ Volleyball away @ All Saints on Thursday, and the final Cross Country qualifier meet at St. Mary's University on Thursday.

Job Shadow Opportunity
Young women and non-binary students in grades 11 or 12 are invited to register for a complimentary day-long program on October 19th to learn about rewarding careers in finance. Interested students drop down to the Success Centre to register. Limited spots are available.

Weekly Scholarship Highlight
Loran Award National program, based on character, service, and leadership. Selection criteria include academic excellence, community and extracurricular involvement. There are 36 major financial awards, valued at up to $100,000 and tenable at 25 universities listed here. There are also 54 finalist ($6000) and 70 provincial awards ($3000). There are summer work experience opportunities, and scholar gatherings as well as lifelong membership in this community. Canadian citizen or permanent resident. Applications open from September 9th, 2026 until October 15th, 2026 at noon Eastern. Students may now access the online application system at apply.loranscholar.ca. Students can also view the sample application form.
