Grad Information

Please use the link below to request tickets to the May 28th, 2025 RTHS Graduation Banquet.  Ticket cost is $110 +GST and everyone attending requires a ticket, including the graduate.  Once tickets have been requested, fees will be added to your PowerSchool Account for payment.  Any tickets not paid for by April 18th will be removed.  No seating requests will be taken at this time, please look for further correspondence regarding this after April 15th.

Grad Committee is excited to be hosting a Spring fundraiser for all students to participate in. Bring in any previously loved clothing or accessories that you would like to donate. All collected donations will be sold in a Market (tentatively scheduled for April 11) where students will be able to purchase items for a steal of a deal. You can find Grad Committee set up in the Space during lunch every day until April 3 to collect your donations. All proceeds will go directly to the grad charity, I Can For Kids. Parent Teacher Conferences

RTHS Parent Teacher Conferences will be taking place on Thursday, March 20th from 4pm to 8pm and Friday, March 21st from 8:30am to 12:00pm.  All interviews will be taking place online.  Conferences can be booked through you PowerSchool account and bookings will open on Friday, March 14 at noon.

School Council Little Caesar’s Fundraiser

Customers will go to www.pizzakit.ca, click on products then shop for kits.  They will then enter the fundraiser ID # 457106 and log in.


  1. There is a $1.50 service fee for every transaction to the customer and only credits cards are accepted.
  2. Kits can be ordered until April 20th with a delivery date to follow


Success Center

​​​​​​​SUMMER SCHOOL REGISTRATION

Here are a list of the courses/locations that will be offered through CBE Learn this summer CBE Learn summer schools course offerings

The information will not be available until April. Please read the weekly emails, check the tv’s at school and listen to the announcements for the registration information. There will be a QR code available outside the Success Centre to scan and fill out your requests for summer school.

  • In-person summer school classes run from July 2nd – July 25th  at various CBE high schools.
  • Online summer school classes run from June 30th – July 24th


REGISTRATION – Current Grade 10 and 11’s

  • The Success Centre presented registration information for the 2025-2026 school year to all grade 10 and 11 students on Wednesday, February 26th during Connect and posted the powerpoint on the main page of D2L Success Centre.
  • Guidance counsellors went out this past week March 10-14 to meet individually with students to go over their course choices.
  • If your student has a spare in period 1, we will call these students down to Success Centre next week

Unique Pathways & Off Campus Opportunities

They collaborate with post-secondary institutions, industry partners and community organizations to offer a wide-range of unique opportuni​ties for students. These range from practical, hands-on learning experiences in Exploratory programs to Dual Credit courses and programs that allow students to participate in post-secondary learning with the support of a supervising CBE teacher. These programs allow students to complete high school their own way, and set students up for future success by easing the transition to post-secondary learning and/or the workplace.

Unique Pathways Information Sessions

The information night sched​​uled for Thursday March 6th, 2025 has been cancelled. However, our CBE Unique Pathways team will be hosting two online sessions providing an overview of upcoming programs and to answer student and parent questions. The sessions will be identical and families are able to choose whichever session works for them:

Post Secondary Visits


  • Tues., March 18 - 8:00am-8:30am - U of A Augustana Campus will have a booth set up in the Space.
  • Wed., March 19th at lunch in Room 212 - Education Matters Scholarships will be hosting a virtual information session that will detail how to navigate the website and apply for the many available scholarships. 


U of A Opportunity

  • U of A is offering a day trip for Advanced Placement high school students, Friday March 21, to visit the North campus for a day of jam-packed events. Transportation from Calgary (leaving Hotel Blackfoot hotel at 7am and returning at 7pm) is provided. Please REGISTER to secure your spot as space is limited. Questions can be directed to recruitmentevents@ualberta.ca.

  • The next Calgary Career Fair is scheduled for Wednesday, March 19, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Notre Dame High School. 


Education Matters – Scholarships & Awards

HYRS Program U of C

  • The Research Services Office from the University of Calgary is now accepting applications from Grade 11 high school students for the 2025 Alberta Innovates High School Youth Researcher Summer (HYRS) program.

    The HYRS Program seeks students who are well-rounded, curious about health research, and are looking for a summer research experience to help launch their career and academic goals. This opportunity allows students to work alongside UCalgary faculty members, make invaluable connections, and contribute to innovative biomedical and health research at one of the world's top research Universities over six weeks, from July 2 to August 13, 2025.

    To be eligible, students must
  1. Be registered as a grade 11 student at a central Alberta high school. This includes all high schools south of Red Deer, to north of, but not including, Claresholm.
  2. Have a clear interest in pursuing a health research career.
  3. Have a minimum of 85% standing in Math 20-1 or 20-2, Biology 20, and one other 20 level science course, such as Chemistry 20 or Physics 20. Transcripts or interim reports are required.
  • We encourage all interested students to apply however, up to two students per high school may be selected for the HYRS program. The online application deadline for students is Friday, March 14, 2025, at 4:00 PM (MT) The deadline for references is Friday, March 21, 2025, at 4:00 PM (MT).

U of C Future Student Events

  • U of C Future Students are hosting a number of exciting events! Check out U of C Future Events for key dates and times coming up in January for newly accepted students!

Investing in the Future Award

  • This year, the incredibly generous donor is once again offering 10 awards of $100,000 each ($25,000 per year over 4 years)!!!
  • This award is available to Grade 12 students in CBE high schools who will be pursuing a 4-year University Degree at a Canadian University (any field of study). Additional details on the award are attached and can be found at https://www.educationmatters.ca/systemwide_awards/investing-in-the-future-award/
  • Applications are now open and are due March 31, 2025. Students can apply through EducationMatters’ application portal https://applications.educationmatters.ca/.
  • Here, they will register an account they will get an email asking them to “confirm” their account and, from there, they will be able to access the application. Students who already have an account do NOT need to register again. They can simply login to their existing account.

GRADitude Project

  • Trellis and Youth Central have partnered to offer The GRADitutde Project which provides free graduation dresses, suits and personal care items to Grade 12 students, ensuring they can enjoy their big day with confidence, no matter their financial situation. 
  • Have a dress to donate?   Drop off at the Stephen Cleaners locations in Crowfoot, Hamptons, Varsity Acres or West Springs
  • Volunteer opportunities are available to those wanting to support

BURNS MEMORIAL FUND - HIGH SCHOOL BURSARY FOR GRADE 12 STUDENTS

  • This program is for Calgary high school students who are within two semesters of graduating from grade 12 and who have demonstrated financial need. A basic living allowance is provided to assist students in covering expenses such as rent, food and transportation. Attendance and marks are monitored monthly. For more information or to apply, students should connect with their colour community Guidance Counsellor.

Success Centre also recently posted upcoming scholarship opportunities for February 2025 and scholarship information presentation on our school site listed here, so that families are able to see as well. Students can also access scholarship information through Success Centre D2L shell.
