Banquet Tickets/Seating

 

The deadline to order and pay for tickets is Friday, April 24th.  We will not be able to process any requests after this date and any tickets not paid for by this date will be removed.

 

Banquet seating requests will be taking place again during lunch Monday to Thursday.

Grad Parking Information

Parking at the University of Calgary for graduation? There are three ways to pay

 

May 2- May 26 (recommended)

  • prepurchase parking in Lot 10 or 11 for $10.50 at  parking@ucalgary.ca
  • No Printout is required, please be accurate when entering your Plate #

 

May 27 options:

  1. Pay stations at each lot accept Amex, Visa, Mastercard, Debit, Apple and Google Pay
  2. Parkedin App- Download and purchase

Join us in Urinetown, a place where people need to pay to pee, hopes and dreams are hard to find, and satire hides around every corner. 

 

Urinetown Synopsis (from Broadway.com)

“In this side-splitting satire, a young hero fights to create change in a s dystopian world where water is scarce and “Hope” is even scarcer. Set in a city facing a drought, all citizens must now pay a fee for “The Privilege to Pee” at one of the public facilities controlled by a selfish tycoon.”

Summer School Information and Registration

The summer school registration form will be available from April 13th-May 1st. Students must enter the summer school course request that they previously indicated on their 2026-2027 course registration sheet. Please note that students must commit to successfully completing this summer school course as it is not guaranteed that students will be able to take this course in-person throughout the 2026-2027 school year as staffing decisions and course balancing are based on the 2026-2027 course registration forms already submitted. If students have any questions, they should contact their guidance counsellor.

 

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION CAREFULLY BEFORE COMPLETING YOUR COURSE REQUEST 


Students may register for a maximum of one course for summer school. You must choose between online or in-person. Summer School Courses  to view course offerings before completing this form. Course and location availability is extremely limited. Submission of this form does not guarantee placement.


ONLINE COURSES 

  • Offered by CBe-learn through Brightspace on D2L
  • July 2- 27, 2026 (online courses will be available to students on June 25 with no teacher support until July 2)
  • Diploma & non-diploma courses
  • Diploma Exams | August 4 - 12, 2026
    • ONLY Social Studies 30-2 Part A and Part B Diploma Exams will be written at Chinook Downtown High School at Bow Valley College. All other Diploma Exams will be written at Nelson Mandela High School.
    • Rewriters and International Students must register and pay between June 17 and July 6 through myPass.alberta.ca
  • Students must have access to suitable technology and a reliable internet connection
  • English Language Learners MUST have an LP4 or higher (language proficiency level) to enroll in an online course
  • Summer School programming is extremely condensed and intensive. Students must be prepared to manage their time and workload independently. A time commitment of 5 hours per weekday for 5-credit courses will be required for students to be successful online. While there will be regular opportunities for synchronous instruction and support with real-time interaction, online summer school will be mostly asynchronous, taught through written instructions, pre-recorded videos, discussions, weekly live sessions, etc. All work must be completed and submitted by midnight July 23.


IN-PERSON COURSES

  • Offered by Chinook Learning Services at five different locations. Not all courses are available at every location.
  • July 2 - 28, 2026 | 8:15 AM - 12:42 PM (Monday - Friday)
  • English Language Learners (LP3 & LP4) may enroll in English for Academic Success or  (LP1 & LP2) in Learning Strategies 
  • Diploma & non-diploma courses
  • Location Key: Centennial High School (CEN), Chinook Downtown at Bow Valley College (CDT), Forest Lawn High School (FL), Nelson Mandela High School (NM) & Sir Winston Churchill High School (SWC)
  • Diploma Exams | August 4 - 12, 2026
    • ONLY Social Studies 30-2 Part A and Part B Diploma Exams will be written at Chinook Downtown at Bow Valley College (CDT). All other Diploma Exams will be written at Nelson Mandela High School (NM).
    • Rewriters and International Students must register and pay between June 17 and July 6 through myPass.alberta.ca
  • Each day of summer instruction is the equivalent of one week of a semester high school program.  No provision will be made for missed classes. You are expected to attend every class as scheduled and to be present on the last day of class to write the final examination. Final exams cannot be rescheduled.


REGISTRATION PROCESS

1) Complete and submit this online Course Request Form.
2) You may be contacted by an academic advisor if more information is required or your course selection is not suitable.

3) Once your course request has been entered and accepted, you (and your parent - if applicable) will be emailed a course confirmation the week of June 1 - 5, 2026. Ensure you are checking your junk/spam folder as well as your school email (xxx@educbe.ca) for notifications.

No course changes or substitutions will be accepted once this form has been submitted. If you need to withdraw your course request or you need help with your course selection please contact your guidance counsellor.
