School Pick up and Drop Off
This is a friendly reminder that we appreciate families taking the time to drop-off and pick-up their students at RTHS, however given the one-way direction of the loop and the specialized bus area, we are asking for family support to reduce traffic in front of the school and loop area. We appreciate your help and support!!
School Photo Retakes
Student retakes will be taking place all day on Friday, October 9th. Students who did not have a student id photo done this week will be prioritized over those wishing retakes. We will not be retaking photos for students who are unhappy with their ID photos.
Meet the Teacher
Please join us on Thursday, September 10th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm for our Meet the Teacher event. There is no appointment necessary!
School Council Meeting

Student Parking Information
Parking forms are now available on the school website or via the student’s email accounts. Beginning the week of September 22nd a parking pass will be required to park in either lot.

During Meet the Teacher on Thursday, September 10th at 6 PM in the lower learning commons, Grade 12 students and families are welcome to attend a grade 12 Post-Secondary & Scholarship presentation hosted by the guidance department.

Recovery Alberta Community Education Sessions
Here is an upcoming list of free, virtual educational sessions offered through Recovery Alberta for parents/guardians: Executive Functioning Essentials for Parents; Navigating Technology with our Youth; and Teens and Gambling: What Adults need to Know. The Summit Child and Youth Mental Health Centre
Alberta Health Services recently opened the Summit Child and Youth Mental Health Centre in April 2023. The Summit provides free walk-in mental health support for all children and adolescents from 9 AM-9 PM (weekdays) and 9 AM-5 PM (weekends). No referral is needed for walk-in services. Athletics Update
We had a great week of tryouts for our fall sports, and most of our teams are in the midst of finalizing fall team rosters. For any students who did not make a team or missed tryouts amidst the rush of the first week, they can consider coming out for teams in the winter/spring, or they can still join cross country until Friday, September 11th! If your student made a team, expect a form package coming home in the next few days. Next week the Fall Classic kicks off our senior’s volleyball program, and girls’ soccer has their first game on Wednesday at Nelson Mandela.
