School Conferences

Conferences are open and can be booked through your Parent PowerSchool Account. Conferences will be taking Friday November 28th from 8am to 3pm.  The in-person part of these conferences will take place from 8am to 11am. 


School Society – School Volunteers Needed

Robert Thirk High School’s casino dates are Saturday February 14 and Sunday February 15, 2026, at PURE Casino – 1420 Meridian Road NE. This is the time where your volunteer efforts can help raise enormous funds for Robert Thirk High School!

Our fundraising efforts will be contributed to supplies, including technology and equipment for our school; teaching residencies to help enhance learning; transportation if needed for field trips, sport events etc. and much more!

We appreciate your time and contribution in helping us raise money to benefit the school!

Musical Theater Performance

RTHS Musical Theatre presents: Stand Up! A Musical Medley.

Join us for a fun-filled evening with talented performers from Musical Theatre 15,25, and 35 students showcasing their musical skills, with lights and sound (and other technical elements) designed by Technical Theatre 25 and 35 students.

Doors open: 5:30 PM
Show begins: 6:00 PM

There will be a bake sale in the lobby for you to purchase sweet treats hosted by the RTHS Fine Arts Society. As this show is only one act, the bake sale will be open before and after the performance. All proceeds go towards Fine Arts programming at RTHS.

School Council Pizza Days

School Council is happy to announce the 1st pizza day of the year on Friday December 5th, 2025.

  • Students must attend their Connect class on Friday. They will receive a ticket to exchange for their pizza in The Space at 1:35 pm that day.

Post-Secondary Fair Rescheduled Dates

Prior to the post-secondary fairs, families are encouraged to support their child in developing questions that they would like to ask post-secondary student recruiters. Attached is a list of possible questions for reference.

Two Education Matters Scholarships have Extended their Deadlines: 


  • Laurie Sommersville Scholarship Award: The Laurie Sommerville Scholarship was established to recognize students who have the potential to successfully complete post-secondary studies but may not otherwise be able to do so because of adverse life experiences and are in need of some financial support and encouragement. Deadline December 8th, 2025


  • Breakthrough Opportunity Bursary for New Immigrants: This award was established to encourage Calgary Board of Education refugee or immigrant students who have come to Canada within the last five years to continue their education to achieve success in their new lives and careers. Deadline December 8th, 2025

We provide free graduation dresses, suits and personal care items to Grade 12 students, ensuring they can enjoy their big day with confidence, no matter their financial situation. 


To Participate: If you’re a soon to be Grade 12 graduate who would like to participate in this fabulous free event, complete the Graduate Registration Form. Spaces are limited, so sign up early to avoid disappointment.

Winter Readiness Fair

On November 28th from 12-3 PM at The Genesis Centre (7555 Falconridge Blvd NE) all community members are welcome to drop into the Winter Readiness Fair, which will provide clothing giveaways, winter hampers, food hampers, resources, arts and crafts, and much more. Bring a bag!


Bridging the Gap (Hull Services)

BTG is a community-based program that provides support for individuals, ages 16 to 24, who struggle with mental health concerns (self-identified or diagnosed), and experience barriers that impact areas of their life. You must have the ability to identify and work on personal goals, mental health concerns and must not currently be receiving support through Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) or Children’s Services (CS). Individuals supported by BTG receive support for 18 to 24 months.
