Natural Resources – Herb Sale
Culinary herbs will be on sale in the main foyer of the school on December 10th during our lunch hour from 11:27-12;03 and afterschool from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. Come out and support the school’s Natural Resources class and get some herbs for your holiday cooking!

Athletics
Basketball season is underway with all 3 of our teams playing in their first league games this week! Jr Boys are playing in the Jr Space Jam Dec 5th and 6th.
Next week we have our Sr Girls playing Monday Dec 8th 7:30 at Nelson Mandela, Jr Boys 5:30 at St. Gabriel and Sr Boys at 7:30 at St. Gabriel. Our Sr teams are also playing in tournaments next weekend! Girls at Bert Church and Boys at Fowler/Diefenbaker.

Musical Theater Performance December 10th and 11th
RTHS Musical Theatre presents: Stand Up! A Musical Medley.
Join us for a fun-filled evening with talented performers from Musical Theatre 15,25, and 35 students showcasing their musical skills, with lights and sound (and other technical elements) designed by Technical Theatre 25 and 35 students.
Doors open: 5:30 PM
Show begins: 6:00 PM
There will be a bake sale in the lobby for you to purchase sweet treats hosted by the RTHS Fine Arts Society. As this show is only one act, the bake sale will be open before and after the performance. All proceeds go towards Fine Arts programming at RTHS.

Success Center
CBe-Learn concurrent course registration
Now open now for semester 2 concurrent registration. Link shared directly to Grade 11 and Grade 12 students' school emails and accessible for students via Success Centre D2L shell. Online courses can be requested via form from Wednesday, December 3rd- Wednesday, December 10th at 4 PM. Grade 12 students are strongly encouraged to submit their request by Monday, December 8th at 4 PM to ensure prioritization.
GRADitude
Provides free graduation dresses, suits and personal care items to Grade 12 students, ensuring they can enjoy their big day with confidence, no matter their financial situation.
To Participate: If you’re a soon to be Grade 12 graduate who would like to participate in this fabulous free event, complete the Graduate Registration Form. Spaces are limited, so sign up early to avoid disappointment
Black Youth Mentorship and Leadership Program
The Black Youth Mentorship and Leadership Program is a unique, made-in-Alberta innovation to socially and economically empower Black youth. The program aims to engage Black youth in innovative research and provide them with internship opportunities to maximize their experiential learning and facilitate their upward mobility.
Eligibility includes must be entering grades 11 or 12 for the 2026-2027 school year and be available to commit 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday) from July 2 to August 8, 2026. Click here for more information and application due February 6th, 2026.
BURNS MEMORIAL FUND - HIGH SCHOOL BURSARY FOR GRADE 12 STUDENTS
This program is for Calgary high school students who are within two semesters of graduating from grade 12 and who have demonstrated financial need. A basic living allowance is provided to assist students in covering expenses such as rent, food and transportation. Attendance and marks are monitored monthly. For more information or to apply, students should connect with their colour community Guidance Counsellor.

Resilient Families (Hull Services)
Resilient Families provides short-term, intensive support to families who are having difficulties parenting their children and feel they could benefit from strengthening their parenting skills and/or increasing their knowledge on healthy development. The program focuses on building family resiliency and works with families weekly for a duration of 3 to 6 months. Click here for more information for this self-referral program.
